11 "Faux Pas" That Are Actually OK To Use With Your Best Robot Vacuum For Carpet The Best Robot Vacuum For Carpet    If you have carpet with a high or low pile There's a robot vacuum for you. These smart appliances are able to navigate your home on their own and pick up dirt and clean under furniture.    A lot of them come with advanced features, like mapping, which helps them navigate your home and remember furniture placement. They can also boost suction power to clear dirtier areas.    iRobot Roomba 694    The Roomba by iRobot is a basic robot vacuum that performs well on both plain flooring and low-pile floor carpet. It has good suction and cleans up most debris, though it isn't able to handle larger debris such as rice or sand. It does a good job cleaning pet hair, but isn't as resistant to tangling as the premium Roomba models such as the I6 and j7.      The Roomba 694 is easy to use. It has three buttons on its top cover. 'Clean,' which initiates a cleaning session and 'Dock', which places it in its charging station and the 'Spot' button, which triggers the targeted cleaning. It is controlled by a smartphone app that lets you schedule and stop/start cycles, as well as alter settings. It can also be paired with smart home devices like Alexa or Google Assistant for voice-controlled operation.    This vacuum cleaner is slower than some other models, but it can get into the most crevices and corners. It has a large dustbin, which is great to reduce the frequency at which you need to empty it. It is compatible with digital mapping and virtual barriers which lets you set the robot to avoid certain areas, or even stop cleaning altogether to avoid it from getting stuck.    It's not the most effective in its price, but it's better than most other options. The Roborock E4 is more advanced than the Roomba 694 with better cleaning performance on both bare and low-pile carpets. It also has a longer-lasting battery and a more efficient path. It also feels more durable, has fewer parts that need regular maintenance, costs less to maintain over its life and charges more quickly than the 694.    It's also worth looking at other, more premium models from the iRobot line, such as the 981 or the v7. They're more expensive, however they are significantly better than the 694 in terms of performance on both low and bare floors, use a more efficient cleaning route, have a bigger dirt compartment, are more efficient to charge, can move more easily, and are more easy to pair with smart home devices.    Shark RV1001AE IQ    This budget self-emptying robot vacuum cleaner does an excellent job on carpets with a low pile and hard flooring. The combo brush can reach into corners and edges and it automatically increases suction when it spots carpet. It also is effective in cleaning dirt embedded in carpets that are mid-pile. The IQ's tiny footprint for docks and the self-emptying feature are great features. However, if you wish to alter the floor level on the map or create no-go zones you'll have to manually reset it in order to do this, which is a bit of trouble.    The IQ's app comes with advanced mapping and automation capabilities but it's missing no-go zones that are available on iRobot models. Its smart-pathing system permits for better maneuverability, and the high-pile mode of its carpet cleaning mode is efficient, although it can get stuck on rug tassels.    During our tests, we found that the IQ was able to handle pet hair effectively. It was able to get rid of lots of debris on bare floors and a good amount of rug with a medium pile. It was less efficient with shag carpets. It was unable to reach dirt and dust buried within the fibers. It was capable of navigating chair legs and tight spaces, as well as the base of a wooden IKEA step stool. It was a little slower on floors with no flooring but it quickly recovered and performed better than the other robots we tried.    The IQ is a more suitable option for the majority of users than the iRobot Roomba. It has a bigger dust bin and lasts longer on a charge, and is more capable of getting around obstacles. It also comes with a mopping attachment that can tackle sticky messes. The iRobot however, feels better built and has fewer parts that need maintenance or replacement, incurs less recurring costs, can create virtual no-go zones using its companion app. It is able to even resume a cleaning session from the point it started if it runs out of battery before it has completed the task. The iRobot can also be controlled with voice, which can be a big plus for many users.    onson robot vacuum isn't among the most advanced models, but it does offer excellent cleaning power for affordable prices. It's designed for budget-conscious buyers who don't need a complicated mapping system or app to control the device. This robot can last for up to an hour. It comes with a remote control, cleaning tool and AC power adapter.    The 11S is slim and sleek, and features a tempered-glass upper deck that resembles the brushed appearance of aluminum. It's a nice departure from the industrial and utilitarian designs of Roomba, Samsung and Neato.    In our tests, the eufy 11S was extremely effective at removing large particles and fine dust on hard floors. It was unable to thoroughly clean medium and high-pile carpets. The device also has a tendency to smack into furniture and people that are in its path however, it's able detect those obstacles using sensors. It stops and emits a loud noise when it encounters an obstruction. Then, you can manually guide the device around the obstacle and restart it.    Another fantastic feature of the eufy 11S is its BoostIQ mode, which allows you to set the robot to automatically adjust the strength of its suction to match the floor type and level of mess. It's also easy to use the remote to direct the 11S to where you'd like it to go.    Single Room Mode is a great alternative if you have a small amount of furniture in the space you want to vacuum. The eufy will spend 30 minutes intensely cleaning the area it's assigned to.    You can also choose Edge Cleaning which reduces the amount of time in each area to 20 minutes to ensure optimal battery life. This option allows the eufy to move in a spiraling manner, cleaning corners and edges.    Miele Complete C1    The Miele Complete C1 is an excellent mid-range canister robotic vacuum that can be a great performer on carpet. Its performance is also excellent on floors with no floor. It can remove rice and other small particles with ease. The suction power doesn't diminish when the dirt bin is full. Its design is a breathable one and its air-sealed body captures allergens to keep your family healthy. It uses an onboard HEPA filter and self-emptying dustbin, so you don't have to buy additional filters or a separate bag for your vacuum.    It's not as powerful as the more expensive models, but it's still ideal for fighting stains and deep cleaning. It has two front cameras which provide a live feed to your smartphone. It also comes with one of the most advanced obstacle avoidance systems. It comes with a large bin, a long running time and an easy, bump-free clean-up.    Contrary to other robots unlike other robots, the Complete C1 can switch between two powerheads, a standard one and a turbo head for different flooring types. The turbo head works best on low-pile or high-pile carpeting while the standard powerhead is ideal for bare floors and light rug. It also has an automatic height adjustment system, which lets it easily adapt to various kinds of flooring, without manual adjustments.    This model is included with the SBD 285-3 Classic Combination Floorhead, which can be used on both carpets with a hard surface and carpets with a medium pile. The powerhead can also be easily maneuvered and get into difficult areas. It has five levels of surface adjustments and a brushroll off switch to avoid hairs getting caught in tangles.    The Classic C1 has a self cleaning brush roll, the UtraClean Mode that cleans the same area up to three times, and a self-emptying dustbin that you can empty by pressing a button. The noise level is slightly higher than some other models however, its powerful 1,200-watt motor and robust construction make it worth the extra cost.    If you're willing to spend a little more then the Miele Complete C3 is an excellent all-around canister robot vacuum that is more effective on carpet than the Classic C1. It is better suited for all kinds of floors and is built more securely, and comes with a HEPA filter.
