It can pick up pet hair and clean large objects up. It doesn't lose suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It does have a hard time with high-pile or plush carpet, but iRobot promises it will improve with the next models. The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that is focused on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are common however we found it to be just marginally better than circular models. iRobot also claims that the S9+ comes with a superior filtering system that blocks tiny dust particles and allergens from circulating in your home. It's a nice claim but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the high price tag. Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors that keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology to map the interior. This allows it to avoid obstacles, such as stairs and other barriers, and to clean up your entire house efficiently possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and set virtual boundary markers so that the robot knows the areas that require attention. 2. Roborock Q Revo Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those on more expensive models. This feature is beneficial if you have different flooring in different areas of your house or in the event that you have to regularly remove clutter, such as toys, clothes, and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was one of the top performers in my tests, removing debris from carpets as well as hardwoods in its first run. It is able to even vacuum up wet spills, though I recommend wiping them dry with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot in. 3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a premium robot vacuum and mop and more. Sensors are concealed behind the front pane, which help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and recognize them and avoid them, which is a great feature for homes with pets or children. The L10s Ultra provides solid vacuuming performance, clearing 98.4 percent of debris from our hardwood floor test and removing all but the most difficult juice stain. Its mops also do a great job and remove 98.4 percent of debris from our carpet, tile and wood tests. It was not as effective at removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oatmeal from the carpet.
