You can control it using an app on your smartphone that lets you schedule cycles, stop/start the cycle and change settings. It is compatible with digital barriers and virtual barriers, which allow you to set it to avoid specific areas or even stop cleaning completely if you want to keep it from getting stuck on something.    While it's not the best model for its price but it's far superior to other options. The Roborock E4 has a better cleaning performance than the Roomba 694, and it can clean both low-pile and bare carpets. It also has a more durable battery and a cleaner path. It also feels better-made and has fewer parts that need regular maintenance, is less expensive to own over the course of its life and charges faster than the 694.    It's also worth considering other, more premium models from the iRobot line, like the 981 or the v7. The v7 and 981 are more expensive, but provide significant improvements in cleaning performance for both bare and low pile floors. They also have a larger dirt compartment, charge faster, move more easily and are easier to pair with smart home devices.    Shark RV1001AE IQ    This budget self-emptying robot vacuum cleaner does an excellent job on carpets with a low pile and hard floors. The combo brush can reach into corners and edges and it automatically boosts suction when it senses carpet. It also does an excellent job of cleaning dirt from carpets in the middle of the pile. The IQ's small dock footprint and self-emptying feature are great features. If you wish to alter the floor levels or set areas that are not allowed to be used, you'll need to manually reset the map.    The IQ's app has some advanced mapping and automation capabilities however, it's not able to access no-go zones that are available on iRobot models. The smart-pathing technology permits for better maneuverability, and the high-pile mode of its carpet cleaning mode is effective but it could get stuck on the tassels of the rug.    In our tests, we found that the IQ handled pet hair well. It was able to remove a large amount of debris on floors that were unfinished and a good amount on medium-pile rug. It was a little less effective on shag carpets where it struggled to reach dirt and dust buried in the fibers. It was able to navigate the legs of chairs, small spaces and even the base of an IKEA wooden step stool. We did notice it was a little slower on floors with no flooring but it quickly recovered and performed more thoroughly than the other robots we tried.    The IQ is a better option over the iRobot Roomba 694 for most applications. It has a bigger dust bin, lasts longer on a charge, and is capable of getting around obstacles. It comes with mopping tools that are able to clean up sticky debris. It comes with an remote control, a cleaning tool and AC power adapter.    The 11S is slim and sleek with a tempered glass upper deck that is covered with plastic, which is finished to appear like brushed aluminum. It's a nice aesthetic different from Roomba, Samsung, and Neato designs that are more utilitarian and industrial.    In our tests, the eufy 11S was excellent at picking up larger debris and fine dust on hard floors. It was unable to thoroughly clean carpets with high and medium piles. The device is capable to hit furniture and people along its route. However, it is able to detect obstacles with sensors. It stops and emits a loud ring when it comes across an obstacle. It is then possible to manually guide the device around it to restart it.    The BoostIQ mode is a great feature of the eufy11S. It allows you to configure the robot to automatically adjust the suction strength based on the type of floor and the level of the mess. The remote control makes it simple to direct the 11S to your desired place.    If you don't have much furniture in the area you're looking to vacuum, Single Room Mode is an excellent alternative. The eufy will spend 30 minutes focusing on cleaning the space it's assigned to.    You can also choose Edge Cleaning, which limits the amount of time in each location to 20 minutes for maximum battery life. It comes with a large bin, a long running time and an easy, bump-free clean-up.    In contrast to other robots, the Complete C1 can switch between a standard powerhead and a turbo head to suit different floor types. The turbo head is ideal for low-pile and high-pile carpeting and the standard powerhead works well on bare floors and lightweight rugs. It also has an automatic height adjustment system that allows it to adapt to different types of flooring without manual adjustments.      The model comes with an SBD 285-3 Classic Combination Floorhead that can handle both hard floors and carpeting with a medium pile. The powerhead is also easy to move and can reach tough spots. It comes with five different surface adjustments as well as an off-brush switch to avoid tangled hairs.    The Classic C1 has a self cleaning brush roll and a UtraClean Mode that will clean the same area three times, and a self emptying dustbin that you can empty by pressing a button. Its noise level is a little higher than that of other models however its powerful 1,200-watt motor and robust construction make it worth the extra expense.    If you're willing a little more then the Miele Complete C3 is an excellent all-around canister robot vacuum that performs better on carpet than the Classic C1. It performs better on all kinds of floors and is more robustly built, and comes with a HEPA filter.
